Pride of Lowell

Pride of Lowell was an accident. Max and Patrick were on tour with Aella (a trio with Norwegian saxophonist Mette Henriette Martedatter Rølvåg) in July 2011. Mette bowed out halfway through the tour due to the shock of the Oslo and Utøya killings. The boys were left to fend for themselves and played their first gig as a duo in front of a tepid audience in Lowell, MA. Max joked that the new duo would call itself the Pride of Lowell. The locals were not amused.

Four days later Pride of Lowell had evolved. Proud and secure after a short tour in their new duo format, this two-headed leviathan recorded several improvisations in Paramus, NJ. This is the result.

Eureka California/Lame Drivers

Rock n roll kin Eureka California and Lame Drivers have co-authored a split cassette on Dirty Pillows. Hailing respectively from Athens, GA and Brooklyn, NY both these bands kick out some stripped down heart driven rock jams with a solid pop underbelly. Both sides of this tape are chock full of the type of blown out lo-fi jems that couldn't complement each other more. A perfect hazy summer burner that will hold you over until that next GBV show. PHORK - King of Diamonds

PHORK tapes are finally in. We got 100 pressed on translucent blue. This cassette features 39 minutes of new music from LA/Baltimore artist Neal Reinalda. It's also his first release under the name PHORK. And, for the first time, Dirty Pillows is offering a FREE DIGITAL DOWNLOAD with the purchase of this tape.
